About:
Dr Raj Pratap Singh is one of the leading Cardiologist in Uttarakhand. He currently works as Director Cathlab and Head of Department of Cardiology at Graphic Era Institute Of Medical Sciences, Dehradun. Prior to this he was heading the Department of Cardiology at Kailash Hospital and Heart Institute, Dehradun.
He is a pioneer in bringing cutting edge and most advanced cardiovascular interventions to state of Uttarakhand and nearby areas. He is the first person to successfully do advance and challenging interventions like Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI, valve replacement without surgery), EVAAR, TEVAR, Retrograde CTO PCI, MICRA (leadless pacemaker) etc in Uttarakhand state. He is also the first person to do PDA stenting in Uttarakhand and UP. He has implanted pacemaker in youngest age (2year child) as well as elderly (> 90 years). He is an expert in field of complex angioplasty and stenting with lowest rates of complication. He has keen interest in Structural Heart disease and routine do interventions like Device closures for hole in heart and balloon valve dilatations. He is also involved in research on cardiovascular disease and has presented papers and posters at various national and international forums. He also engages in social work by routinely holding education and lifestyle talks with public and training common people in CPR.
