About
Dr. (Lt Col) Sudip Azad is a young and dynamic psychiatrist with extensive experience in both clinical and academic psychiatry. After completing his master’s in psychiatry, he served across various military hospital psychiatry centres, gaining hands-on expertise in diverse mental health settings.
He holds a Fellowship in Psychiatry (MRCPsych) from The Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK, and has managed a wide spectrum of cases, from acute psychiatric decompensations to chronic and complex mental health conditions.
Dr. Azad has a special interest in emerging psychiatric treatments, including ketamine therapy and neuromodulation (rTMS). Over the course of 14 years of distinguished service in the Armed Forces Medical Services, he held multiple clinical and administrative roles, contributing significantly to military mental health care.
Following his service tenure, he joined ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Patna, as an associate professor, where he continued to advance psychiatric education and research.
Currently, Dr. Azad is a dedicated and committed member of the Department of Psychiatry at Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, where he continues to serve patients with compassion and clinical excellence.
