Dr. Akash Narain Gaind is a highly experienced and accomplished Cancer Surgeon with over 24 years of extensive clinical experience, trained at premier oncology centres in India and abroad. He has received advanced training from the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, a Regional Cancer Centre, and Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, along with international clinical exposure in Belgium.
Dr. Gaind is a pioneer of advanced cancer procedures in Uttarakhand, including HIPEC for peritoneal malignancies and microvascular reconstructive flaps for oncoplastic surgery. He played a key role in establishing the Surgical Oncology departments at Max Super-speciality Hospital, Dehradun and Kailash Omega Cancer Centre.
A committed academician, he has been actively involved in the training and mentoring of MBBS, postgraduate, and super-speciality students, contributing significantly to medical education and surgical oncology practice.
