Dr. Archana Thakur is a distinguished microbiologist, academician, healthcare administrator, and healthcare quality expert with over four decades of exemplary experience in medical education, laboratory medicine, research, hospital administration, and healthcare quality.

 

She completed her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, followed by an MD in Microbiology from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), University of Delhi. She further pursued her Senior Residency in Microbiology at MAMC, laying the foundation for a remarkable academic and clinical career.

 

Dr. Thakur served at the prestigious G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi, for more than 35 years. She served as the Director of G.B. Pant Hospital and was also designated as Professor of Excellence, reflecting her exceptional contributions to academic medicine, healthcare administration, and institutional leadership.

 

An internationally experienced healthcare professional, Dr. Thakur brings over 20 years of expertise in healthcare quality, accreditation, and quality assurance. She has been instrumental in strengthening quality management systems, promoting patient safety, leading accreditation initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement across healthcare institutions.
