About
Dr. (Maj) Gaurav Mukhija is an accomplished and compassionate pediatrician with a rich background in clinical pediatrics, neonatology, and medical education. A former officer of the Indian Army Medical Corps, he is widely respected for his disciplined approach, academic depth, and commitment to child health.
He has served in some of the most reputed institutions of the Armed Forces including Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi Cantt and Command Hospital, Udhampur, before joining the civil teaching faculty in Govt Doon Medical College.
Currently serving as Professor of Pediatrics at GEIMS, Dehradun, Dr (Maj) Mukhija is admired for his ability to blend modern evidence-based practices with compassionate patient care. His efforts toward pediatric health awareness were recognized with a Commendation Letter from the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand for his enlightening public address on malnutrition and anaemia reforms a testament to his dedication to community and child welfare.
He continues to mentor young clinicians and medical students, promoting a culture of inquiry, empathy, and excellence in pediatric care and teaching.
