About

Dr Partha Bishnu did his graduation in medicine and post graduation in general surgery from Institute of Medical Sciences-BHU; in 1983 & 1987, respectively. He completed his postdoctoral training (MCh) in Neurosurgery, from GB Pant Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research,( G B Pant , Delhi) ; University of Delhi, in 1990. He also received specialised training in advanced Brain and Spine Surgery from NIMHANS, Bangalore and Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST) Trivandrum, Kerala.

Dr Bishnu is a highly accomplished neurosurgeon with an experience of more than 30 years in Neurosurgical operations and Neurosurgery consultancy. He has been a Faculty / Consultant in some of the reputed institutions in the country, viz., as Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences,(SCTIMST); Trivandrum, Kerala; Himalayan Institute of Medical Science Dehradun, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre,(RGCI&RC) New Delhi; & Institute of Neurosciences(IN-K) Kolkata.

First hand experience in setting up and upgrading Neurosurgical services. And, in organisational start-up tasks related to team building, training of Neurosurgery personnel, & delivery of state-of-the-art neurosurgical services to the community.

Dr Bishnu has been associated with several hands-on workshops on brain & skull base surgery, minimally invasive and re-constructive spinal surgery with national and international faculty ; and with education courses of World Federation of Neurological Surgery.

Possesses strong communication skills and analytical ability. He has been an invited faculty and chaired sessions in national & international symposia. Presented and published key papers in skull base tumours, spine tumours, and minimally invasive spine surgery & spine trauma, in national & international forum.
