About

Dr. Partha Bishnu completed his graduation in medicine and post-graduation in general surgery from the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, in 1983 and 1987, respectively. He pursued his postdoctoral training (MCh) in Neurosurgery from GB Pant Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (University of Delhi) in 1990. He also received specialised training in advanced brain and spine surgery from NIMHANS, Bangalore, and Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, Kerala.

Dr. Bishnu is a highly accomplished neurosurgeon with more than 30 years of experience in neurosurgical operations and consultancy. He has been a faculty member and consultant in reputed institutions across the country, including Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences (SCTIMST), Trivandrum; Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun; Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCI&RC), New Delhi; and the Institute of Neurosciences (IN-K), Kolkata.

He has first-hand experience in setting up and upgrading neurosurgical services, along with organisational start-up tasks related to team building, training neurosurgery personnel, and delivering state-of-the-art neurosurgical services to the community.

Dr. Bishnu has been associated with several hands-on workshops on brain and skull base surgery, minimally invasive and reconstructive spinal surgery with national and international faculty, as well as with education courses of the World Federation of Neurological Surgery.

He possesses strong communication skills and analytical ability. He has been an invited faculty and chaired sessions in national and international symposia, and has presented and published key papers on skull base tumours, spine tumours, minimally invasive spine surgery, and spine trauma in national and international forums.
